AFL NT HOLIDAY PROGRAMS
School Holiday Programs 2017
What is AFL Northern Territory's School Holiday Program?
The AFL Northern Territory School Holiday Program introduces both boys and girls who are turning 5 and turning no older than 12 in the year they register to the basic skills of Australian Football.
It builds on the skills of children who have already been introduced to the game and also teaches children with limited to no experience of Australian Football to the skills of the game. NO experience is necessary; this is the perfect place to give it a try.
The program is a fun and inclusive program for boys and girls and includes skill development, fun activities, minor games and modified games. The holiday program provides a fun, exciting and safe environment for children to develop their skills whilst interacting with others.
The program is delivered by Level 1 accredited coaches, with a coaching ratio of no more than 20 participants per coach.
Holiday Programs run from 9:00am - 3:00pm.
What to bring.
All equipment and resources will be provided but participants are advised to bring warm clothing in case of cold weather.
We advise participants to wear comfortable clothing as they will be involved in physical activity during the program as they learn and further develop their skills in Australian Football.
Most people will wear a pair of football boots, as well as football socks, shorts and a jumper however if you are just starting out wear something comfortable. Why not wear your favourite AFL team Jumper?
Children should bring a drink bottle, snacks and lunch as food and drink will not be provided. Children are encouraged not to share food and drink on the day for health and safety reasons.
